To actually hear and see Morrie was different from just reading the book. To hear him telling the world about his illness made you see that this was a real person, not a fictional character. When reading the book i pictured him as an extremely weak person. Even though he is fragile he seemed stronger than what i had thought of him as. He wasn't ashamed of his illness or the fact that he was dying. Its obvious that he focuses on the things that really matter. I really like when he said that it wasn't his fault or anyone elses that he has this disease so why blame yourself or anyone else for it.
If i hadn't known about Morrie's illness before watching that video i wouldn't have guessed that he was dying. Even though he knew that his illness was soon going to take over his body he seemed like he still had much more years to come. He didn't want people to feel sad for him but to remember his story and cherish the last years of their life as well.

Good response Fish, this is important to see things and be able to relate them to what you are reading. In doing so, and by creating an image from the book, it is often helpful to see the real life people or to hear them speak and be able apply that image to what you have read. It helps me at least.
